Istanbul Bilgi University was founded in 1996 as a private, non-profit institution and functions under the aegis of the Turkish Higher Education Council. With more than 10,000 students and a faculty of 700, the University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the social sciences, economics, business, communications, the arts and law. With the exception of the Faculty of Law, the language of instruction is English. Istanbul Bilgi University currently offers 47 undergraduate programmes and 31 graduate study programmes. It is part of the Laureate International Universities network.
