Erasmus Exchange - Information for SBM Students

At the School of Business and Management our undergraduate students have the opportunity to study in a partner institution in Europe for one or two semesters as part of their degree via the Erasmus+ student mobility programme.

Students normally participate in the exchange in their second year of studies. Joint programme students should consult with their home departments about their eligibility to participate in the Erasmus+ exchange programme.

Students interested in International Exchanges please refer to QMUL International Exchange programme

Fees and funding

Undergraduate Home/EU students who study at one of our Erasmus partner universities for the whole academic year will only be paying 15% tuition fees to Queen Mary. Overseas student pay 50% of their course fees if going for the whole year. Students going for one semester only will continue paying normal tuition fees. Everyone participating in the Erasmus Programme is exempted from paying tuition fees at the partner university.

Participating students can receive an Erasmus grant to assist with the costs of studying and living abroad. The amount of the grant is set by the British Council and not Queen Mary University of London. This amount may vary from year to year. Students should note that the grant is intended as a contribution to assist with the costs and is therefore unlikely to cover the full costs.

For enquiries about the Erasmus grant, please contact Wiebke Leugers (Erasmus Institutional Coordinator).

See the 'How to apply' page.

Submit your study plan and, if available, a transcript of your results alongside a cover a letter where you explain why you want to study abroad, where you want to study, and what modules you are interested in.
