Ahu is a Lecturer in International Human Resource Management in the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary, University of London. She joined the school in September 2004 as a doctoral student. Her doctoral thesis investigates the agency of diversity managers. She holds a BSc degree in sociology from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, and a Masters degree in political science with a thesis titled 'Islamist Women in the Post 1980s Turkey: Ambivalent Resistance'. Prior to joining Queen Mary, she has participated in various research projects on gender, equality and religion in Turkey.
