"Export Competitiveness and Trade Liberalization in South Asia"
This Research is focused towards an investigation of the economic structure and trade patterns in South Asian countries.
Economic reforms and trade liberalization policies have been widely adopted in developing countries in recent years. Incomes in South Asian countries mostly grew on the back of labour intensive manufactured exports. So this study will be focused on the effects of regional trade-related policies within South Asia and how these countries within the region bilaterally affect each other's exports. However I also want to focus on the export competitiveness and the provisions given by the World Trade Organisation for market access to goods.
A part of this thesis will look at how export competitiveness could be improved, how it is being affected in terms of tariff barriers and also the effect of non-tariff barriers.
