Fan is a PhD student at QMUL who joined in 2014. He is an experienced student with multidisciplinary backgrounds including engineering, economies and business. Previously he has undertaken a set of academic projects including National Nature Science Project and Fundamental Research Funds for Chinese Central Universities.
Meanwhile, he was also the representative of QMUL to participate into 2013 IBM Business Competition in UK. He has a set of awards including final year scholarship of QMUL and Chinese Government PhD Scholarship.
"Inward FDI and Urban Innovation Performance: Evidence from China"
This PhD program aims to investigate the relationship between inward FDI and innovation performance based on Chinese empirical evidence. Based on statistical analysis of both urban and firm level data, the project is considering a set of determinants of the internationalisation process and upgrading of technology. Therefore, this PhD program is to provide both academic and practical contributions to existing regional economies and international business studies.
