In this one day meeting, accounting PhD scholars will have an opportunity to present their work and receive helpful feedback. Three eminent accounting academics will host the panel discussion in the afternoon and Professor Richard Barker of Said Business School will deliver the keynote speech. Students will receive friendly advice on their subject, research approach and methodology. The one-day conference is also an opportunity to network with other PhD students. All submissions will be subject to review and places are limited.

Professor Richard Barker: Professor of Accounting at Saïd Business School, Oxford University. Richard Barker is the academic member of the Accounting Council (formerly the ASB), the UK's advisory committee on accounting standards. He previously served on secondment as Research Fellow at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) in London.
Professor Christopher Napier: Professor of Accounting. School of Management, Royal Holloway, University of London. Christopher Napier is a Chartered Accountant. He has previously held positions at the London School of Economics, the University of Southampton and was a member of Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Christopher is the author or co-author of some 80 research papers, books and contributions to edited volumes, covering a wide range of interests: accounting history, theory of financial reporting, accounting and law, corporate governance, and Islamic accounting.
Professor Peter Pope: Professor of Accounting, London School of Economics and Political Science. Peter Pope has served as the Academic Coordinator of the Institute of Quantitative Investment Research since 1991. He is Joint Editor of the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting. He has served as an Associate Editor or a Member of the Editorial Board of several leading accounting journals including Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research and Contemporary Accounting Research.
We welcome submissions from doctoral students at any stage of their PhD. Your presentation might focus on your theoretical approach and the literature that you are sourcing, your research design, or you may already have results to share. Please upload a summary of the work that you intend to present (4-8 pages) or a full paper (if available).
