This programme is designed to provide a critical and research-driven study of the major aspects of financial management and the changing international context in which they operate.
This programme is ideal for anybody wanting to enter a career in the financial sector or for those planning to pursue more advanced studies. No specific background in finance is required.

On this programme you will develop your ability to apply knowledge and understanding of financial management to complex issues - ranging from innovation in a global marketplace to creative accounting - both systematically and creatively. Without assuming any pre-existing knowledge, the programme will nevertheless take your studies to a high level.

You will also select two optional*modules from the following:

- Quantitative Research Methods
- Innovation and Global Competition
- Multinationals and Global Business
- Public Advocacy in Marketing
* The range of optional modules may vary from year to year. The School reserves the right to withdraw one or more of the optional modules if there is insufficient student interest.
Teaching and assessment
Teaching for all modules includes a combination of lectures, seminars and a virtual learning environment. You can expect 2-3 hours of contact time per module, per week.
A wide range of assessment techniques are used including coursework (written essays, case studies, interviews, group reports etc), presentations, examinations and a dissertation.
Entry requirements
A good upper second class honours degree or equivalent in any subject. Some basic quantitative skills and some elementary prior knowledge of accounting would be an advantage.
Where English is not your first language IELTS 7.0 (6.5 plus four weeks' pre-sessional; 6.0 plus at least 8 weeks pre-sessional) or equivalent is required.
